Behind The Scenes On A Vintage Winter Wedding Shoot
Styled photo shoots are a fabulous way of getting inspiration for your big day and learning how to pull a look together – and this vintage winter wedding shoot from Captured by Katrina Photography is one of our favourites. Let’s hand over to Katrina herself to learn a little more…
“This styled shoot took place at a brand new wedding venue that has just opened called The Moat House near Stratford Upon Avon. It is a beautiful Tudor house with a stunningly restored barn and we wanted to create a shoot that would show it off to its full potential.”
“We aimed to emulate a style that many brides desire so we went for a whimsical romantic look with echoes of winter, lace, candelabra, pearls, soft pink flowers and vintage afternoon tea.”
“The main hall of the venue was decorated using soft pink sashes on chevalier chairs tied with a rose, vintage candelabra draped in delicate jewels and topped with soft white flowers and gold tea light holders.”
“The afternoon tea set up was equally romantic with a gorgeous collection of vintage tea sets, decorated with a mixture of pink roses and wild meadow flowers, bunting and Champagne glasses.”
“For the hair, we wanted an elegant style that matched the elegant theme, so we chose anintricately styled updo, and the make-up was classical English rose. The wedding dress was a beautiful lace design from the David Tutera collection at Mon Cheri, and we accessorised it with a luxurious fur stole and lace shoes in keeping with the winter theme.”
“To finish the look a beautiful gold and pink cake was supplied and the decadence continued as it was surrounded by a dessert table consisting of French fancies and macaroons.”
“It was important that the men’s styling was as well thought out as the women’s so the delectable Clements and Church put together a wonderful look for our male model. Chevalier chairs and a luminescent LOVE sign in the ceremony room completed the styling.”
